The Ship Script Project

ECRP is pleased to announce, in partnership with Sol8base International and others, that it is taking steps to acquire an aircraft carrier for the purposes of shooting its first major motion picture.

The rights to the script itself, by Henrison Martin, are already acquired, with H Martin also being retained as a technical consultant.

The story line involves the establishment of a sea going community on board the carrier, with the flight deck converted to pasture and forest and small scale fresh water eco-systems and below decks utilised for full time living accommodation, shops, offices, and engine room based factory production units.  The ship will have schools and hospitals as well as a state of the art satellite linked conference centre and an all glass leisure dome to encourage all weather events under the stars.

With a skeleton crew of 150 plus £15,000 of fuel costs for each day of cruising, the budget for this project will be very substantial indeed.

The project seeks to create the film about a fictitious group of people creating a sea going community plying international waters and experimenting with new social orders whilst, at one and the same time, creating a sea going community plying international waters and experimenting with new social orders.  The product in the first instance will be a film, and, in the second, a unique opportunity for the assembled humans to take direct collective control of their own lives and living circumstances.
